BMW ISTA+ Installation Guide

Welcome to the official BMW ISTA+ Installation Guide.
This guide has been created to help you install your software package correctly and as smoothly as possible.
Please read each step carefully before beginning the installation.
Before You Begin
Before installing BMW ISTA+, please ensure your computer meets the following requirements.
Operating System
– Windows 10 (64-bit)
– Windows 11 (64-bit)
Available Disk Space
– Minimum: 300 GB
– Recommended: 400 GB or more
User Permissions
Administrator privileges are required.
Antivirus Software
Before installation, temporarily disable:
– Windows Defender
– Any third-party Antivirus software
Some security software may incorrectly quarantine installation files.
Archive Software
We strongly recommend using 7-Zip to extract all downloaded archives.
Previous ISTA Installation
If an older version of ISTA is installed, we recommend removing it before installing the new version.
Step 1 – Download the Software Package
Download all files included with your purchase.
Ensure every file has finished downloading completely before proceeding.

Step 2 – Extract All Archives
Using 7-Zip, extract every archive before running any installer.
Do not run software directly from inside a compressed archive.

Step 3 – Install Windows Components
Open:
Windows.rar
Install all required Windows components included in the package.
Restart your computer if prompted.

Step 4 – Install BMW ISTA+
Run:
BMW_ISTA+4.60.13_Standalone.exe
Right-click the file and choose:
Run as Administrator

Step 5 – Wait for Installation
Depending on your computer, installation may take between 30 minutes and 3 hours.
Please do not interrupt the installation process.
Step 6 – Programming (Optional)
If your package includes programming functionality:
Run:
full-with programming.reg

Step 7 – Install PSdZData
Extract the PSdZData package to the appropriate installation directory.
This step is required only for ECU programming.

Step 8 – SQLite Databases
If your package includes updated SQLite databases, install them according to the included instructions.

Step 9 – Connect Your Vehicle
Use the appropriate interface for your BMW model:
– ENET
– K+DCAN
– ICOM
– Compatible J2534 Pass-Thru device (where supported)
Step 10 – Launch ISTA+
Start BMW ISTA+ as Administrator.
Connect your vehicle and begin diagnostics.
Congratulations! Your software is now ready to use.
